What We Do
Campaigns & Candidates
As a political party, our main task is the recruitment and support of candidates running for office in Delaware. Unlike many other groups, we work with candidates in all stages of the campaign cycle and work to provide concrete support with:
Candidate and staffer training
Regular coaching and support with campaign tasks
Resources and guides
After endorsement, direct voter contact
If you are interested in helping find candidates or are interested in running for office yourself, you can learn more on our endorsements page.
If you are interested in getting involved in Candidates & Campaigns, you can reach out to Karl Stomberg, our Political Director.
Legislation & Government
Once candidates get elected, we want to make sure that they have the support and accountability they need to continue fighting for the issues they ran on. We also work to make sure that we are educating the broader public about what is happening in the state legislature.
Every week that the legislature is in session, we work to track every bill introduced, every bill in committee, and every bill on the floor. You can get our weekly updates by signing up for our email list here, and you can find them on our website here.
We also work to run and support issue campaigns that fight for issues we care about:
Universal Free School Meals - making sure that all students are able to get breakfast and lunch and school, regardless of thier ability to pay
Earned Sick Time - ensuring that all employees have access to time off if they are sick or seeking safety in a domestic violence situation
Cost-Burdened Renters - keeping costs down so that people are not forced from their homes due to rising rents
Community Workforce Agreements - making sure state projects hire local workers and develop the workforce in our diverse communities
If you are interested in getting involved in Legislation & Government, you can reach out to Shyanne Miller, our Progressive Governance Director.
Community Engagement & Outreach
Beyond the explicit work of the electoral and legislative process, we also want to make sure that people who are fighting for justice in Delaware feel empowered and connected to each other.
