Legislative Report: Week of 3/27/2023
SB 1 (renter right to representation in eviction and other landlord-tenant actions) is also on the Senate floor today, This is an important bill that housing advocates are pushing hard for after it passed the Senate but failed in the House last year.

Counties are currently limited in what they can spend realty transfer tax funds on and therefore have surpluses, this bill enables the counties to use those funds for affordable housing |
